Released Crystal Palace defender Jonathan Parr has joined Ipswich Town.
The 25-year-old was told he was no longer part of Eagles manager Tony Pulis's plans and now signs a two-year contract with Mick McCarthy's Town.
Parr played a key role in Palace's promotion to the top flight but injury hampered his first-team chances.
"I did my ankle at Portman Road, so not the best memory for me," he said. "Hopefully I can create some good memories in my time here.
"It's been a long summer, trying to sort out where I'm going to play my football. I spoke to a number of clubs but I had a good feeling about Ipswich.
"I spoke to Jonny Williams, who was here on loan last season of course and he couldn't speak highly enough of the club. Maybe I can get him to join me. I'll give it a go. It could be fun!"
The Norway international, who was the club's player of the year in 2012, made 102 appearances after signing from Aalesund in July 2011.
