Williams goes back to Ipswich

September 29 2014

Jonny Williams

Jonny Williams

Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams has re-joined Ipswich on three-month loan.

Williams has been told he is not part of manager Neil Warnock's plans for now so a return to Portman Road will give him match time.

The Wales international was a massive success at Town last season, scoring one goal in 11 starts and two sub appearances. His superb strike against Derby last season was voted as the club's 'Goal of the Season'.

Ipswich will have the 20-year-old for 93 days but Palace have the option to recall him back after 28 days.

Williams started both of Palace's Capital One Cup games this season and came off the bench in the league against West Ham and Burnley.
