Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann has signed a blockbuster new deal.
Palace's Player of the Year has handed the Eagles a major boost by putting pen to paper on a new five-year contract to make him one of the biggest earners at £65,000 a week.
Dann, 28, has reportedly been courted by a number of Premier League sides, notably Everton, but the centre back was eager to extend his contract after hearing about the club's ambition.
"There was some interest from other clubs over the summer so I spoke to the chairman and the manager about their plans for the future," he told the Palace website.
"And after hearing what they had to say, and with all the other lads signing, I knew I was at the right club. So I wanted to commit my future to Palace and aim for a top-eight finish this season.
"The manager and the chairman were a big influence; the gaffer made it clear last season that there was no way I was leaving and I didn't want to. I'm delighted to get everything signed and look forward to the coming years."
Jason Puncheon and James McArthur are among the players who have recently extended their contracts and Palace have signalled their ambition by capturing French international star Yohan Cabaye this week.
Dann was purchased by Tony Pulis from Blackburn Rovers for £2.6m in January 2014.
