Crystal Palace midfielder Barry Bannan has joined Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old Scottish international was left out of the Eagles' pre-season tour to South Africa which signalled that Alan Pardew wasn't going to pick him for his 25-man squad for the current season.
Bannan played 27 times for the Eagles and scored one goal, which was a vital winner against Hull City away back in November 2013.
The former Aston Villa man took to Twitter to announce the move and thank the Palace fans for their support: "Glad to have joined @swfc on a permanent transfer today new start and glad to be going somewhere to play regular football and a fresh start.
"Would like to thanks the palace fans for their unreal support and loved every minute there and to my teammates won't be forgotten."
The site would like to wish Barry all the best for the future!
