Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend has been called up to the England squad.
The 25-year-old comes in as a replacement for Manchester City star Raheem Sterling who has had to withdraw through injury.
Townsend has 11 England caps – and scored three goals – and will be looking to add more now he is playing regular games with Palace.
England, with former Palace player Gareth Southgate in temporary charge after Sam Allardyce's exit, play Malta on October 8 and Slovenia on October 12 in World Cup qualifiers.
Townsend was named in England's provisional squad for Euro 2016 but Roy Hodgson omitted him from the finals.
Congratulations to #CPFC's @andros_townsend, who has been called up to the @England squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers! 🔴🔵 pic.twitter.com/4kMtX4nCwE
