Team news

Palace manager Sam Allardyce will make wholesale changes for the FA Cup tie against League One opponents Bolton, like he did in the away game.

Julian Speroni is set to come in for fellow goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, but new signing Jeffrey Schlupp is unable to play as he wasn't registered in time. Allardyce confirmed centre half Scott Dann will be rested.

On-loan Chelsea striker Loic Remy is set to be given more game time as he gets back his match fitness levels. Wilfried Zaha and Bakary Sako are still on international duty at the African Nations Cup.

Steve Mandanda (knee) is recovering from a recent operation and joins Fraizer Campbell (hamstring), Jordon Mutch and James McArthur (both knocks) on the injury list. Pape Souare (leg) and Connor Wickham (knee) are out for the season.

Bolton duo Josh Vela and James Henry could be rested by manager Phil Parkinson. Darren Pratley is close to fitness after recovering from a broken leg. On-loan striker Keshi Anderson has returned to parent club Palace.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"If they do not win, they are saying they are League One players for me, and not Premier League. If a team with Premier League players cannot beat one from Division One, and on their ground, it tells me an awful lot about those players.

"It will tell me if they are good enough to play from now until the end of the season. It is a big challenge for them, because if you cannot beat Bolton you cannot expect to play in the first team.

"The last thing I want to say is I’ve come back and not been able to save Palace with a track record that has never had a blemish on it since I’ve been a manager. I don’t want that.

"I am not fearful of losing my job, it’s the fear of not wanting to ruin that record and helping Palace get out of trouble, especially when a small club like this has grown like it has over the last few years and got to the FA Cup final which they should have won."

Phil Parkinson

"It is important that we go down to Palace and give it the best we can to get the best possible result, where there is a great prize for the winner."
