Patrick Kluivert reckons Frank de Boer has the winning mentality to be a success at Crystal Palace.

Kluivert says his fellow Dutchman and former Barcelona and Ajax teammate just cannot handle losing matches.

And he feels that his mindset and the education he learned as both player and manager of Ajax will see the Eagles reap the rewards.

"He was a winner and if he lost a game, of course he was devastated. I think that's a good mentality," said Kluivert.

"Frank knows the way of Johan Cryuff and he has his own way of thinking. He did a great job at Ajax, I think they won four or five championships, and I think that he will do great.

"Of course it's important the type of material he's got to work with. But I think his way of coaching can be the right one and really helpful for Crystal Palace."
