Crystal Palace finished third in the Premier League Asia Trophy after beating Tony Pulis' West Brom 2-0 at the Hong Kong Stadium.

Palace manager Frank de Boer kept with the same 3-4-3 shape that the Eagles played with against Liverpool in midweek.

There were starting places for on-loan midfielder Rubens Loftus-Cheek and Bakary Sako started in attack with Wilfried Zaha and Christan Benteke.

Luka Miliovejivc opened the scoring for the Eagles with a free kick in the 11th minute after Zaha was fouled on the edge of the box after a surging run.

Sako then doubled Palace's lead two minutes before half-time when his run from the centre of midfield resulted in a shot which took two deflections and ended up in the back of the net.

The Eagles made numerous substitutions in the second half including a rare run-out for club legend Julian Speroni, who pulled off a wonderful save to prevent West Brom from scoring.

It was West Brom who had most of the chances for the remainder of the game, but Speroni was equal to all their efforts, and the match ended in a 2-0 victory to Palace.

Palace now move onto their next friendly in France on Saturday, July 29 when they take on FC Metz.
