FA Cup

Crystal Palace have been drawn away to Premiership Newcastle United in the third round of the FA Cup.

The tie will take place on the weekend of January 5. Palace met Newcastle in the third round of the FA Cup at St James Park in 1999.

After Lee Bradbury opened the scoring for the visitors in the first half, Gary Speed and Alan Shearer scored to put the Magpies into the next round.
