Crystal Palace midfielder Luka Milivojevic's World Cup dream is over after Serbia's exit from the tournament.
Milivojevic was Palace's sole player at the global football contest held in Russia but he was unable to help take his country out of the group stage.
The 27-year-old performed well for the Serbs in their opening fixture, which was a 1-0 triumph over Costa Rica.
Captain Aleksandar Kolarov fired in a brilliant free-kick in the second half to put his team top of Group E.
Milivojevic started again for The White Eagles in their next encounter against Switzerland and played 81 minutes.
His nation took an early lead before the Swiss levelled and then Stoke's Xherdan Shaqiri netted a dramatic 90th-minute winner.
Serbia needed to win their final group match against the mighty Brazil if they had a chance of progressing to the next phase.
Milivojevic was dropped for this game and had to watch from the bench as Paulinho and Thiago Silva gave the Samba Boys a 2-0 win.
The result meant the end of Serbia's hopes of progressing through to the knockout stages and they now return home.
