We round up the latest Crystal Palace transfer rumours and gossip.

The Premier League's winter transfer window slammed shut on August 9, before the start of the season for the first time.

Palace cannot sign anyone until it reopens again in January 2019, including free agents.

However, Premier League players can still transfer to the Football League or to an overseas club, either on loan or permanently, up till the second deadline of August 31.

Connor Wickham is set to go out on loan for regular football after coming back from a long-term knee injury. Championship sides Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers are interested in taking the target man. With strike trio Christian Benteke, Alexander Sorloth and Jordan Ayew, Palace have enough attacking options to manage. (The Sun)

West Bromwich Albion are eyeing up a loan deal for Eagles defender Joel Ward. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has made the right back position his own and Ward could get game time under Baggies manager Darren Moore who is a personal friend of his. (Birmingham Mail)
