Gregg Berhalter

Trevor Francis has won his battle to keep Gregg Berhalter in the Palace squad for January. He was due to play in the the CONCACAF Gold Cup for his country.

Francis had talks with American officials last week, and managed to persuade them to do without Berhalter for the competition.

The CONCACAF Gold Cup is regarded by the USA as important preparation for the World Cup in June.

Berhalter will be available for selection for the forthcoming game against Stockport on Sunday.
