Former Crystal Palace winger Bakary Sako has signed for Turkish club Denizlispor on a free.

The 31-year-old left Palace at the end of the season when his short-term deal expired, having made just four substitute appearances under Roy Hodgson.

He played 54 games in his first spell at Selhurst Park between 2015-18 and had returned in January after a brief stint with West Bromwich Albion.

Sako failed to make Mali's squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Egypt and will look to reignite his career in Turkey.

"A one-year agreement was made between our club and football player Bakary Sako," Denizlispor said in a statement.
