The Carabao Cup

Team news

New midfield duo James McCarthy and Victor Camarasa are set to make their first starts for the Eagles. Forward Connor Wickham is also due to come into the line-up, along with keeper Wayne Hennessey as Roy Hodgson rings the changes for this cup clash.

Colchester left-back Cohen Bramall is available after serving a suspension. Tom Lapslie (thigh) and Harry Pell (Achilles) are likely to miss out.

John McGreal

"It's a great game for us. I think the ticket sales are going well, so we’ll have a good following there and it's a great tie for the club.

"It's the first time (since 2010) we've been in the second round. We'll go there and try and enjoy it but at the same time, you don't want to be looking fools. We'll go there, prep right and refuel."

Gary Cahill

"There is no point in having the result, performance and motivation at Old Trafford to go and underestimate our opponents tonight, we need to show maximum respect to them and get a job done professionally," he told Standard Sport.

"I see an opportunity to go on a cup run and get as far as we can, if you can manage to get to a quarter, semi or final it is wide open and ready to go. We take it one step at a time, tonight we have a tough game but one we feel we should win if we go about it in the right way."
