On-loan defender Shaun Murphy has been refused permission to play against his own team on Saturday.

Murphy is currently on-loan from Sheffield United and Palace face them in a league match this Saturday.

Trevor Francis said: "With three defenders out, it's difficult. We know Sean can't play against United so we've got something to think about."

Murphy has put in impressive performances at Palace and last season's player of the year for the Blades is hoping for a permanent move.
