Crystal Palace have brought in defender Axel Disasi on loan from Chelsea for the season.

The 28-year-old centre-half, who has been at Chelsea since 2023, has decent Premier League experience.

He has turned out for Aston Villa and West Ham on loan where he played 58 times in the top flight.

Born in Paris, he has five senior caps for France and previously appeared for Paris FC, Reims and Monaco.

Disasi said: "I'm very happy. The club has been going in a very good direction, so I think it was the right place for me to keep going.

"I know that it's very tough to play against Palace at Selhurst Park - so I'm looking forward to being on the other side now."

Disasi becomes Palace's seventh signing of the summer under new coach Pierre Sage.

Palace chairman Steve Parish added: "We are pleased welcome a defender of Axel's experience and calibre to Palace for the season. I look forward to seeing him in action at Selhurst Park."
