Borna Sosa

Crystal Palace defender Borna Sosa has made a season-long loan move to FC Cologne.

The loan takes the 28-year-old Croatia defender back to German football, where he previously impressed during his time at VfB Stuttgart.

Palace signed Sosa in summer 2025 following earlier spells with Dinamo Zagreb, Stuttgart, Ajax and Torino.

Sosa made his first Palace appearance in August 2025, coming on for Tyrick Mitchell in the 78th minute of the Community Shield against Liverpool at Wembley.

Sosa featured 18 times for Palace during his debut season in south London, with six of those outings coming in the club’s Conference League-winning campaign.
