Honest Ahanor

Crystal Palace have signed Honest Ahanor on loan from Atalanta for the 2026/27 campaign.

Despite being only 18, the left-footed defender has already represented Italy at senior level and accumulated experience in both Serie A and the Champions League.

Ahanor said: “I'm very happy to be here and to be a part of this great family. To be at one of the best clubs for young players in the Premier League is something which makes me grateful and excited."

Ahanor developed in Genoa’s academy before making his first-team debut aged 16, starting a Serie A fixture against Juventus in September 2024. He played six senior matches for the club before moving to Atalanta in summer 2025.

He went on to appear 35 times for Atalanta in all competitions, including nine outings in the Champions League.

Ahanor was handed his first senior Italy call-up in May before collecting his opening two caps in June. Those appearances came in 1–0 victories over Luxembourg and Greece, with the Azzurri keeping clean sheets in both matches.

Palace chairman Steve Parish said: "Honest is an exciting young talent whose arrival offers further competition for places ahead of another European campaign at Selhurst Park."
