Goalkeeper Fraser Digby has revealed that he will fight for a place in the Palace side after the club signed Latvian international Alex Kolinko from Skonto Riga.
Digby is currently out with a shoulder injury. He is hopeful to return to the form that he showed last season.
He said: "It is horrible to miss the start of the season, but I'd like to think that my performances last season were good and I can get back to that kind of form.
"People who have been watching me play said I made some of the best saves of my career and I'm happy with what I did.
"Right now I've got to be patient and wait for my shoulder to repair itself, then I'll be looking to get back as soon as possible."
