A host of players could be shown the door by Trevor Francis in a mass summer clearout.

Several players were released last month and Francis is keen to reduce the wage bill by getting rid of players whose contracts are up.

He said: "There has been a lot of discussion about players leaving Crystal Palace and there are quite a number whose contracts will not be renewed.

"With so many out of contract at the end of the season it seems like a good opportunity to reduce the squad, and by doing that the size of the wage bill."

It's likely Francis will bring in his own donkeys/Birmingham rejects, while selling the creative players who already exist at the club.
