I find that there are two sides of mobile telephone use. Now and again the opportunity is given to give guidance. In the open "do be alert, it is a dangerous world" On transport - always good. Managed to explain to a gentleman on a Lewisham bus that he was being careless - telling the world when he would be seeing the inside of one of Croydon's Courts for sentencing and wearing Arsenal leisure wear. priceless.

Regarding people walking towards me but looking at their phone, I've now taken to standing my ground, even to the point of them bumping into me, when I of course have braced myself for the impact but they haven't. Quite a few times, the other person's phone has gone flying and one time the screen broke as it hit the ground, most satisfyingly so. Occasionally the other person is a "young lovely", which therefore adds to the experience

I hope one day to encounter James Corden in this way.
