Over and misused words: Literally I have been guilty of most of these as it is infectious, I blame the Americans personally and probably quite correctly. My current irks are Requirements for projects that simply say "Make it do what the old one used to", or something of that ilk. I've had a crap day at work

How about "no worries" I heard this expression on numerous occasions when I was in Australia a few years ago. Two other pet hates : 1. People who don't say "Please" or "Thank you". 2. Motorists who don't express their appreciation either with a flash of their headlights or a wave of their hand when one allows them to pass.It riles the 'Billy Goat' in me.
