Eclectic tastes just give you more music to listen to. I can't pretend to like what really I don't, but I can't see why you can't like Jethro Tull, Motown, Elvis and Motörhead, or any other combination. One is not so far removed from another. You either like it or you don't.

On the guitarist front, I’m a bit surprised no-ones mentioned Albert Lee. Good on keyboards too.

I was thinking of Albert being more forgotten than underrated. He was always first choice when Emmylou Harris was recording, and for a time was the third Everly brother with Don when the two brothers had their falling out. Albert was responsible for the Evertys Reunion in the early ‘80’s. Saw him quite a few times at the Boom Boom backed by Hogans Heroes. Happy days.
