I expect it will carry on forever irrespective of the level of crime simply to appease minorities.

That is modern Britain. At the mercy of identity politics and scum bag politicians scared of losing votes.

Ya pays your money, you takes your choice I guess. We know that there is a history of crime and risk associated with festivals, carnivals, football matches etc.

Now I'm not saying that the girl who got raped at Reading festival deserved it, or that someone who gets mugged etc at Notting Hill Carnival deserves it, but these are events that people participate in by choice - and the existence of certain risks aren't unknown in advance.

Putting 80,000 people in some fields, and providing them with booze (and drugs) over a three day period, effectively outside of the normal social environment - has risks and implications that should be apparent - and that the motives of people attending such events might well be very different from most attendees.

Basic rule of social existence, everything is generally ruined by a small minority, that cannot be trusted to be responsible, accept personal responsibility or reasonably behaved. Whether that's guns, drugs, booze, festivals, carnivals, driving, following football etc ad infinitum.

Yes all true, but we know that there is a particular problem in the black community and that shows its face starkly at NHC. For me, it is an insult to the vast majority of people that we are forced to endure the criminality, cost and risk to citizens and the police that occurs annually just to satisfy expectations of a few people who cling to the idea of multi culture and wish to avoid a backlash of more disorder and loss of popularity among minority voters.
If there were 1000 arrests at a football match or a festival on two occasions you can be sure it would be met with a serious punishment or permanent closure.

Not the Police officers they have no choice but to attend, and are the ones specifically targeted (31 reported injured officers). To have contaminated bodily fluids and acid thrown at them is a premeditated act of violence.

At the other events listed I don't think there are planned attacks aimed solely at the police, thats not to say that that the Police don't become the target for aggression.

The liberal/left will come up with endless excuses for criminal actions as long as those actions are carried out by members of non-white 'communities'.

Yep, it's the 'why we can't have nice things' and so on....why freedoms have to be balanced by security.

As I see it, people come in three states.....those who leave society better than they found it, those that balanced out and those that left it worse.

All very subjective of course but I suppose most things are.

Well its kind of part of their job to attend. Its important to remember as well that NHC isn't just one big riot of violence, there are incidents and trouble, and the police rightly take more no nonsense attitude towards trouble.

I've heard of football fans going for the police (notably our scummy cousins down the road).

Liberal / Left - Check
Excuses for criminality - check
Non-White - check
'Communities' - Check

Just need the 'money tree' or 'Enoch Powell was right' to claim a full line on my 'Right Wing Jingo Bingo' card.

Cliche maybe but judging by some of the lefty zealots on here, he is right.
The trouble is that defence of the carnival is deafeningly loud compared to the condemnation of criminality with the usual response of, 'I don't condone criminality'.
When you wonder why some people reject mass immigration and multi culture, this is why. Oh and Islamists and slavery and forced marriages and honour killings and witchcraft and organised crime and identity politics and the fact that we are having to concern ourselves with all things multi culture on an almost daily basis.

Did I miss anything?

Oh wait, ahem, Enoch Powell was right.

I wasn't aware there was value in condemning criminality. Just like I don't need to say rape is bad, but its very definition, its wrong.

For some reason some people think that by not shouting out the obvious, you're somehow condoning something, that we all collectively believe to be wrong. How many hours would there be in the day if we just went around making a very literal statement of how we felt about every single subject.

We live in a multi-cultural society, that is what we are.

Great response. That's why I like you.

One can only judge people's attitude by what they say or don't say. The issue, in this case, is not whether people believe criminality is acceptable or not but how much they will tolerate in order to justify their ideology or serve their own agenda.
