ah yes. Fellas walking around a hospital, wearing a doctor's jacket. And not even able to tell you the heartbeat of a healthy person - at rest, in beats per minute (70).

The newspapers have reported on some isolated examples....but mostly its hush hush.

Pretty accurate across the brength of our socially liberal media.

Pasted from Kova on X.

1. **Surveillance Society**: The Edward Snowden revelations exposed the extensive surveillance programs run by the NSA, such as PRISM and XKeyscore, which collected vast amounts of data on individuals worldwide.

2. **Newspeak**: political correctness and buzzwords has led to the policing of language and thought. For example, the term "microaggression" has become a catch-all for any perceived slight, and the term "Latinx" is used to be gender-neutral in Spanish, a language that is inherently gendered.

3. **Doublethink**: The ability to hold contradictory beliefs is seen in the public's acceptance of both the importance of free speech and the need for censorship, as well as the belief in both the necessity of government intervention and the desire for individual freedom.

4. **Memory Hole**: Historical revisionism is evident in the way certain events are remembered or forgotten, such as the downplaying of the atrocities committed by certain historical figures or the selective emphasis on certain aspects of history to fit a particular narrative.

5. **The Ministry of Truth**: Media outlets and social media platforms have been accused of spreading misinformation or shaping public opinion through biased reporting or algorithmic manipulation. For example, the "fake news" phenomenon during the 2016 U.S. presidential election and the Cambridge Analytica scandal.

6. **Thoughtcrime**: Cancel culture has led to public shaming and loss of livelihood for individuals who express unpopular opinions or engage in controversial behavior. For example, the backlash against J.K. Rowling for her comments on transgender issues.

7. **The Proles**: The rise of reality TV, social media, and endless streaming services has contributed to a culture of distraction and entertainment, with individuals spending more time on these platforms than engaging in civic or intellectual pursuits.

8. **The Two Minutes Hate**: The 24-hour news cycle and social media outrage can create an atmosphere of constant anger and division, with individuals and groups being targeted for public shaming and condemnation.

9. **The Inner Party**: The 1% enjoy privileges and power that are not available to the rest of the population, such as access to better education, healthcare, and opportunities, as well as the ability to influence political and economic policies.

10. **The Unperson**: De-platforming has become a common practice on social media platforms, with individuals being removed for violating terms of service or expressing controversial opinions. For example, the banning of Donald Trump from Twitter and Facebook following the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Orwell was a smart guy albeit a lefty. He correctly foresaw what the world would become.

If anyone wants to know where he got his ideas from I suggest you read Homage to Catalonia. This is his biographical story of his time fighting Franco in Spain. It was written before 1984 and Animal Farm and yet the real life incidents are clearly there that formed those books.

Simply put don't trust the commies.

when O'Brien holds up 3 fingers and asks Winston 'how many fingers?'....then tortures him for answering with the truth of his own eyes.

Are we now getting punished and/or cancelled ? for observing that that bloke, over there in a pink dress & blonde wig..... is not really a woman ?

If history has taught us anything it's that proper left wing ideology.....being based upon positive law instead of natural law ultimately falls apart when the wheels hit the road and it actually begins to shape a society.

It always fools the young with false idealistic promises but always ends up getting voted out as it actually ends up making them poorer.

Well, history shows that it gets voted out until it makes voting it out pretty difficult with rule changes.

The main flaw with hard left policies is that the rich have to surrender their wealth and lands. As history has shown many people in principle agree that this is a good thing until they are told they also are part of the rich.

When the Greeks had their tax crisis I saw an interviewer asking Greeks what the issue was, they all blamed the super rich for not paying taxes. They were forgetting that whilst this is true it is also true that the average Greek doesn't pay his taxes either.

Your last line will be the one to watch. The first is a gimmee.
Labour will find a way to make it very difficult to get voted out. They may change the ID rules or just talk to the dems about how trump only had one term. Dominion anyone!

Yep, one of my old mates was a lefty back in the days when I wasn't particularly political. He supported all their economic policies and then started a business that made quite a lot of money. I then remember him buying books on how to pay the smallest amount of tax possible.

It makes you smile....under the hood they are exactly the same as those they criticize....they just want to be seen and feel virtuous but you scratch the surface and it's all about them.

The problem with the left is that they hate the right but are actually exactly the same as them. We will see the left emerge in the labour party after they get in.

One of my daughters is a lefty as is her husband. He thinks he knows it all but actually knows sweet FA. As an example he thought you could buy a new car for £5K!!!!!

When I asked him who was going to pay for all of the hair brained corbyn policies he said well the rich of course. So I asked him what he classed as rich in terms of salary? £50K he says.

I'm earning that. Am I rich? No response. He has not worked for 10 years and has instead sponged off of my daughter, and us as we wont see her struggle.

They are what I call the liberal elite who have no idea what is coming when labour get in. I'm sure they will be moaning like f*** as they bring in policies that hit them.

Kier promises to slap vat on private schools which will floor and flood the state system - financial gain wiped out overnight.
The two child benefit cap will be removed resulting in more w***ers roaming the earth as well as increased costs.
The enhanced workers rights bill - mainly for lazy f***ers - will cost us billions.
Just three loony left policies as well as giving votes to 16 year olds who nowadays have little knowledge about anything
Harriet promises not to raise taxes or NI either.
Tories are crap but you cannot believe this lot.
Politics of envy without arithmetics.
Scary stuff!
