The “nit-picking” video was made by an eminent and genuine expert in this field. If they were “nits” he found then I would not want to encounter one. It would eat you alive!

I am perfectly content for people to make up their own minds on these pieces of what I regard as obvious propaganda designed to support the prejudices of the cynical whilst enriching the maker.

My purpose is to also encourage scepticism but this time over the maker’s integrity and motives.

I am just very surprised and disappointed that others claim not to recognise this and are continuing to assist with the spreading of disinformation. It’s not responsible behaviour.

The “nit-picking” video, for those who missed it can be found here:-

There is no census on the origins of the virus, despite the claims to the contrary and the desire of some to suggest it was definitely a leak from the lab. Professor Tucker-Kellogg disagrees and believes that the outbreak originated in live animals but that there is a lot of data we don’t know and that the Chinese authorities are being untruthful about what happened at the market. I doubt we will ever really know.

Anyone who believes that covid just happened to appear in Wuhan on coincidence where the Chinese have a centre studying highly infectious diseases (which was partly funded with US taxpayer money) but that instead it came from bats or other animals..was brought in locally...or from elsewhere (take your pick)....(with the first victims among those from the centre)...or just about any theory that distances itself from anyone taking actual responsibility who could be named......Mmmmm...yeah.

Anyone who seriously believes that when there has never been any firm supporting evidence....is either an idiot or someone who has interests connected to spreading that misinformation or someone who is just a mental weirdo dedicated to negativity trolling.

I'll leave it to others to mix and match which could be which.

Another important video from Campbell this time on US life insurance data on excess death within age groups and in what areas those deaths came from.

There are idiots out there who actually still think that a man eating a bat from a market in Wuhan caused covid.

Didint that evil man fauci completely lie that he had nothing to do with the lab in Wuhan? And then it found out months later that he actually did and was caught out?

On the balance of probability though. If there was an outbreak of chocolate poisoning in Bournville is it more likely to have come from the local pet shop or, you know, the chocolate factory?

I don’t think anyone is suggesting that a link between the lab being there and the outbreak starting there is likely to be unrelated. On the balance of probability it seems overwhelmingly likely.

That thought is not the issue. The issue is what is the relationship. There are those who believe that some experimental work on manufactured viruses went wrong, infected workers and got spread. People like Gregg Tucker-Kellogg disagree and believe the virus originated from a live animal. What the lab was doing with live animals isn’t known but the limited data sets he has seen leads him to that hypothesis rather than the other.

So what did this mean?

"the desire of some to suggest it was definitely a leak from the lab"?

It either came from the lab or it didn't.

Fauci would not have said that. He couldn’t have done so because nobody actually knew, and still don’t. The only one who thought he knew was he who thinks he knows everything. I doubt whether too many believe it started from somebody eating an infected bat. Handling one, more possible.

Fauci has been, along with several others, has been the victim of some outrageous conspiracy theories which you seem to have swallowed hook line and sinker.

Will always happen as the pay on offer is so so much more lucrative, in this industry or others.

What won't always happen is people moving between for corrupt reasons. But it definitely does happen and far too frequently.

The wider issue is the lack of serious rules to try and counter exploitation and corruption for such moves.

It either came from the lab or it didn't.

It means no more, or less than what it says. We don’t know. All we have are hypotheses, some apparently more plausible than others but none proved.

Could have been either, essentially. Not sure anything definitive has been declared either way, unless I've missed it

What is clear is that both options are just as plausible.
