Is good advice that would serve us all well if heeded by those determined to blame immigration for all our problems. Looking at ourselves rather more critically would produce better outcomes. The only determination I see here is a determination to ignore reality in favour of ideology. Enjoy the game... Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (06 Apr 2024 12.30pm)

That’s how you feel. It’s a cultural statement. It’s not what the statistics record. Nor does apply to everyone. Everywhere changes. It’s nothing new. I bet France has too.

So, according to you in this post, we have to believe statistics & ignore what we see with our own eyes, is that right? People will believe whatever they want to believe. Statistics don’t measure beliefs. They measure facts. What anyone sees with their own eyes is, of necessity, limited by where they are. Just because I might not witness many issues personally, because of my location, age and lifestyle doesn’t mean I don’t acknowledge they exist. Equally, just because someone else does witness them doesn’t mean they are commonplace or happen everywhere. Which is why collecting data and producing statistics informs us of the reality, not the partial.

That’s cultural. Who do British citizens with an Indian heritage support when England play pakistan? They actually support anyone against pakistan, and pakistan literally support anyone against India. So it's not really much of a point. If anything, it backs my point up. Why would they dislike each other so much if they're now citizens of other countries? By your argument, they shouldn't care. Edited by ASCPFC (06 Apr 2024 2.58pm)
