More heavy handed than having a rail strike on Tory conference days just to disrupt it? I think I've been clear that I don't support Fox's poor judgement. The issue is whether Fox was arrested for who he is, a right wing activist and celebrity, rather than what he has said or done. We can have a view on this, but we will never know for sure.

I'm of the view that what matters is the nature of the protest. If they are there to intimidate people from going or there to disrupt with noise then they shouldn't be allowed as they are deliberately disrupting the event from happening. I've already linked to a protest group at the Tory conference dressed like Antifa marching around the area.....I'm not sure that kind of thing is a good development. I think that there is definitely a double standard being operated here in regards to left and right.....or as a human example Packham and Fox. The Police having words is one thing but the arrest of Fox is political prosecution in my view. I would not be surprised if it was timed to ensure GBNews could sack him more easily....though I do not suggest conspiracy.
