Blimey, this whole thing is even bringing Iran and the House of Saud together....they hate each other.

Literally undoing considerable effort over years to get Saudi Arabia on good terms with Israel.

Mr.Sanity, Andrew Marr, here on the situation as at 16th October before the hospital bombing and Biden.

Interesting that the yougov poll shoes the public do not favour the pro-Israeli stance of the conservative and labour parties.

Also Starmer's lack of appreciation of the humanitarian situation would cost him seats.

I am genuinely interested to know why you think Starmer will lose seats because of his Israel stance?

I can only think it might be in constituencies where Muslim voters are the deciding factor, and then would they just abstain? There is no party I can see that would attract the vote unless for example George Galloway were to organise a bunch of candidates.

Possibly one or two seats in London where the Labour support was predominantly on the Corbyn side of the party.

If voters abstain or make a protest vote against Starmer that surely can only result in assistance to the Conservatives or the Lib Dems so would be self defeating if those voters were pro-Labour apart from the Israel question.

Steeleye says what he says because he hates Britain, hates the West and supports anyone who also hates the West and in his state of delusion he thinks the majority of people share his views.

In this case I am curious as to why he thinks Starmer will lose seats.

It had not crossed my mind the terrible situation in Israel and Gaza would be an election issue in the UK.

The sky is always falling in according to you. Bore off to another thread and talk about the same old tripe.

You’d be better suited to living on a tiny island, off grid, although even then you’d find something to gripe about. Probably the clouds.

Ive no idea why you put yourself through such continual anguish, and no doubt, depression by living in this country.

Globalism is going to win out. You and people like you need to work out a way to do well out of it rather than constantly whining about being left behind. At least I can accept that - you’re the one burying your head in the sand if you think change doesn’t create losers, we should all be harmoniously living in glorious isolation, yada yada. There will be more losers than ever as part of the transition to automation and a globalist economy. Nothing you can do to stop that - fight it and lose, or exploit it and win.

That’s the reality, whether you like it or not. So shuffle off in your clogs before they pop and bleat about it on the appropriate thread.

I do live on a tiny island, which is now experiencing the real fall out from years of insane immigration policy.

You persist with your personal attacks because you know I'm right.
You sit in your armchair splurging your moralistic mumbo jumbo and telling us that we had just better put up with the dire direction our country is taking and shut up.

I have two words for you. Can you guess what they are?

Good to see a well reasoned argument rather than a word salad of personal insult.

It is just based on the yougov poll probably marginals with a high proportion of muslim voters, but its very subjective who knows what the situation might be.

He has since corrected his position but initially he did say that Israel had a right to turn off basic essential services, later he added that it must be subject to international law, I was surprised at such a gaffe as these are mutually exclusive.

He thought you could 'get Hamas' by turning off the water?

Obviously a British politician.

Thanks your reply, not surprisingly in another yougov poll Oct 11 only 7% thought Starmer is very clear on what he stands for, 25% fairly clear, the rest in the unclear, fairly unlear, very unclear side of things.

Overall only 32% have any clarity on what Starmer stands for.

In UK 6% do not think Hamas is a terrorist organisation, that goes up to 15% in London

Well it now seems to be pretty much established that Israel did not attack the hospital, it seems it was some Islamic ‘group’ either accidentally or on purpose. It is also fairly clear that only the car park was hit, not the building, no images have been published of the hospital damaged. The reports of over 500 deaths is almost certainly a massive exaggeration.

Yet the BBC instantly reported all the lies as truth – so much for their ‘reality checks’. The left, including some on here, immediately called for Israel to be prosecuted for a war crime. Can we expect an apology from them and the blame laid where it belongs?

Pure speculation for a desired outcome

Indefensible biased reporting
