Hester's comments about Diane Abbott were unquestionably stupid and ill judged. However, you have to laugh at his defence that the line that she made him "want to hate all black women" [my emphasis] had nothing to do with her colour or gender. Huh?? When I called him a liar, in no way was I suggesting that he was not telling the truth! Fair enough, off you go then. What chance the Tories return the £10M?

Sunak looks in the bunker. There is no government going on, for which, after all their efforts, we may consider us fortunate. The shadow chancellor will have a daunting inheritance, but seems to be devoted to the wealthy banker mantra that has not worked since the financial crisis. In fact, you could well have been better off then, I was, think of your housing and food costs, how affordable things were. We are already having 'magic money-trees' 'getting people into work by cutting benefits' 'not helping bankrupt councils', same old rubbish. So much of Britain is the same old failed system, the 2-party state where the players change but the set remains the same.

This was said years ago apparently, probably during the Black Lives Matter nonsense which she supported at rallies. It was an off the cuff opinion by non politician. All of a sudden as if from nowhere, it suddenly comes out in an election year. What ever he said or didn't say, people are being played. Political spin doctors know exactly how dumb the public are.

Posting incomplete, misleading or inaccurate information is what is disgusting. Shaun Tuck was given a football banning order plus a short prison term, no doubt as an example to others Sam Melia wasn’t jailed for anti immigration stickers. He was jailed for producing material intended to promote racial hatred and inciting others to commit criminal damage. Al Soaimi was a member of a criminal gang who committed appalling acts on children. Only one gang member was over 18 at the time. He received an 18 year jail sentence. 2 others, who were both under 18 received 13 years and 5 1/2 years. Soaimi was only 15 years old at the time, so legally still a child. The court must have taken this into account and he must be very thankful he wasn’t older for those involved who were got much harsher sentences.

What I'd consider dumb is thinking that the comments being made a few years ago in any way makes them more acceptable or less newsworthy. Or that it's not an issue because 'it was probably during the Black Lives Matter nonsense' - I'd consider that a really dumb attempt at defending what was said.
