No you don't, not if it's off topic...and even when you're talking on topic you're basically saying the same thing over and over. We get it, Parish should have got Jose Mourinho in the day after Sam left, he's a failure and cannot make a single decision that's right for the club, never has and never will. I'll start panicking if we hit July without a new manager, we rush and get a square peg in then yes, we'll need longer. We get the right fit in and 6 weeks will easily be ample. Some people are desperately impatient, it's embarrassing. "But look at Colchester United, they got a new manager in under a week, look at when one of the top 4 need a new boss, there's stuff reported every day in the paper. Why are we so s***?!" Stamps feet, repeat. Are you people that dense that you can't work out that this is real life?

Have you ever been on hol before most threads , go off topic as you suggested. Where did I suggest that I wanted mourinho. Nearly a month is long to be concerned about the direction of the club going forward.

Six weeks would take us to when all other PL clubs would have started their pre-season and would be just 10 days before we need to be in HK to take part in the pre-tournament publicity. That does not sound like ideal preparation for next season to me.

I've deleted the more stupid parts from your post leaving the only sensible part to comment on.

There seems to be an idea amongst many that the longer SP takes over finding a new manager the more likely it is that he will land the right one but if one thinks about it logically that isn't necessarily the case and he is just as likely to end up with the wrong one as if he made his mind up quickly

Time is defo starting to run out and now Southampton are in competitiion for a couple of managers Palace itself has expressed interest in. Nobody knows this more than Parish. Now is the time to hire the best manager we can who is most in keeping with the Palace DNA, and I am sure he will do that.

In terms of appointing a manager, a number of factors come into play which can lead to a protracted selection process, not just the fact that a Chairman etc cannot make his mind up as to whom he actually wants.

Useful piece on FdB coaching style. Doesnt look a particularly easy fit with Palace, but had a great start to his coaching career. Right now, any of the 3 most touted coaches would do: Pellegrino, FdB, Dyche.

Are we now putting ourselves in a difficult position with perspective managers?

If we have conducted initial interviews but still not made a choice the candidates may walk away. I have gone for job interviews which are followed by a clear dragging of feet by the employer because they aren't quite sure/think someone else better may come along/I'm second choice, and in the interim period I get myself a job with an organisation (read Southampton for this example) that made their choice swiftly and committed to me being the man for the job.

I know we need to get it right, but I am genuinely concerned that we may run out of options.

Now here's Wright, his first chance to see what he can do, and he's through, it's Wright, ohhhh what an impact by the substitute. And it's Ian Wright who's sent the Palace fans into ecstasy!

Well said Eltham Eagle, I think you have summed up the situation and what most fans are thinking perfectly.

Looks promising for me. the use of FBs going forward and CDM dropping back to distribute play. Sounds a lot like what Sam had set up

Only thing that worries me is the high intensity press when we dont have the ball, hopefully the coaching team can get our fitness levels up so we could see out the season. But teams that play like this tend to wither towards the end, particularly if they lack depth, which we do

If the press stories are correct and it's a three horse race between De Boer, Pellegrino and Dyche I really hope Dyche does not get the job!

When I mentioned Puel, a few on here pointed out how poor his run-in at Southampton was, and yet some of those same people are very keen on Dyche who clearly did a better job than Puel. Not!

Of the three I'd hope for Pellegrino but as ever, in Parish I trust (though by the end of this week that will be wearing a little thin).

Yes but supporters are jumping to conclusions without being privy to all the facts surrounding the selection process.
