Electric cars are 5hlt. I hope they're making batteries for other stuff too. Otherwise it will fail.
And these won't be skilled jobs. They'll be minimum wages jobs in an area, say Port Talbot, where people should be grateful

I don't always agree with you, but I do on this. What we need is not battery-powered vehicles, but to convert the road network into something akin to a giant Scalextric track, with vehicles drawing electric power from the rails and drivers paying per mile. A bit like the former 'Autopia' at Disneyland Paris or the much older trains at Butlins' funfairs.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

As an *ahem* older driver, I'd rather like it to be like the old Brighton Volks railway....

Dodgy ground there FH.

It's well known that if you want to change from a train into a bus or vice versa, although an extreme minority want to, the trams movement is an increasingly vociferous and aggressive group.

Best stick to Becky's safer Volks Railway era when everyone knew where they stood (or sat, if there was room).

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.
