I do have to admit, with our injuries and the need to rest Olise it would take God himself to mastermind anything other than a brave 0-0. Personally I would have started Ahamada just to add some pace, but in reality it's unlikely that would make much difference. If we're 2+ goals down on the 70-mintue mark we'll probably see Franca get some minutes, because based on Roy's comments he'll only play when there's nothing left to play for. One thing to bet on is the commentators saying "Well Liverpool have some important players missing" if they are held to 0-0, but barely any mention of our injuries if we get turned over.

I think it's a good point that this game is so heavily stacked in Liverpool's favour it does seem an opportune time to give him or even Ahamada a start. We have 9 defensive players on the pitch and even Ayew is about as defensive as you get for a wide forward. I doubt anyone is expecting much from the game so give them a go. The only hope we have today is if Roy has a plan to use Schlupp's pace to exploit the space left behind TAA, but that seems optimistic.
