“Morning Steve, well a bit numb to be frank. The arthritis is giving my gyp, n last night’s debacle. Wasn’t what I’d hope for”.

“Yes, me too, but it seems my talk on set pieces didn’t sink in, least not the bit about attacking the ball. I didn’t mean with their hands, I mean once you could forgive, but twice! So, I guess a draw against that lot doesn’t cut the mustard. What does that mean anyway?”

“Don’t ask me Roy but the drift is that it wasn’t good enough to keep the Yanks off my case. Tosser, sorry Textor called me earlier, and confirmed what I’d feared and wants me to give you the heave ho, so I guess you know I don’t have any choice”.

“Not sure he even knows what that is, although he did mumble something about a Bygone Era, but having a gong doesn’t mean you keep you job I’m afraid. You could do a ‘Venells’ and hand it back”.
