Is it a hard skill to learn? Maybe not to Rory Delap levels but you'd think someone could manage to reach the penalty area.
It would probably just mean the ball going backwards more quickly than it does now.

Not really Teddy, when I was playing as a RB, I found I could throw the ball very far, think its more of having strong shoulder muscles & being able to grip the ball with your hands.

I now have this vision of Palace players running round during training sessions gripping their balls with Roy showing them how its done!

When Pulis first met the squad his first question apparently was, ‘Anyone here got a long throw?’
I like this - practical and to the point.
And even those who dislike Pulis would surely acknowledge that we were then one of the most efficient teams at set pieces in both defending and attacking.
It’s all about maximising your available resources and set pieces are so important as Arsenal have so clearly demonstrated this season.
On the other hand I read wer’re now approaching 100 corners without a goal.
Unless of course you count the assist from the other day when the ball was chipped into the Arsenal keeper’s hands for him to launch an attack for an Arsenal goal.

I thought both of Arsenals first two goals were clear fouls.

Graeme Souness was most critical of our players' resigned acceptance of the referee's decision on the first one without kicking off. We've been too nice in this respect for too long IMO.
