Roy's handy hints and tips...

Pre-Match Prezza: Sheffield United are a very strong side, very well organised and difficult to beat. Of course, always difficult to score goals in the Premier League, but we are going to give it our best shot.

Team Selection: Henderson, Clyne, Anderson, Guehi, Mitchell, Richards, Lerma, Eze, Olise, Mateta, Ayew.

Subs: The other ones.

Tactics: Keep it tight, defend narrow, hopefully a little bit of magic from Olise or Eze. If we go a goal down, then keep it tight, defend narrow, hopefully a little bit of magic from Olise or Eze. If we go two down, wait until the 78th minute and bring on Ozoh, Ahamada and Franca, who unfortunately are too young to start.

Post-Match Prezza:

Draw – I thought we deserved more from the game against a very well-organised Sheffield United team fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table. Respect the point.

Win (1-0) – I thought we deserved a lot more from the game, but of course we welcome the 3 points against a very well-organised team fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table. Very pleased to see the clean sheet.

Win (by more than 1 goal) - I have not prepared for that.

Loss – Poor refereeing decisions, very unlucky based on the balance of play, we move on to the next game.

Transfer update: We are hoping to get one or two over the line before the deadline to freshen things up, but of course it is never easy given the situation. Let’s wait and see.

Fans booing: Well of course they are entitled to their opinion, but we are trying as hard as we can. Of course it is very difficult.

When thanked by anyone, just smile and say "It’s a pleasure"

Watching the Sheff v Wet Spam 1-1 ATM, Brereton-Dias has equalised for Sheff, their No19 Johnston has a very long throw & that McAtee is quick on the right. Michell's going to be aware of him & Andersen will have one he'll of a battle with Dias, both booked imo. HT now.

Brereton-Dias showed great determination to get his goal. It's something our strikers could try now and again.

Although we dominated at their place first game, we struggled to put them away properly then, and they was in a bit of a mess at the start of the season. Now they’ve got some resemblance of a team and have improved, this is not going to be easy. Especially with our confidence surely at an all season low now

Roy to decide which side of the “the squad’s ok” fence to pick before the game - Roy before the Everton game, “there’s no way this squad will be in a relegation fight, particularly with the players to come back, we are looking to give the cup a real go”.
Roy after losing the next league game (to Arsenal - who could have seen that coming), “we’re definitely in a relegation fight”

Obviously, no need to worry about set pieces. No need to play players in their actual position.

"Stick to the system lads. If we're losing I'll bring on the youngsters and blame them."

Brereton Diaz signed on loan from Villarreal.
He did not score for Villarreal this season in 20 appearances for the team.

A run he could have extended effortlessly if he'd joined us.
