My one reservation with this deal is a lot of reports have talked of him having a lack of pace, which given the speed of the PL could be an issue. It's certainly one of the reasons Hughes has struggled sometimes.

I hear West Ham fans have also been complaining about why we leave it so late it means they barely have time to gazump us.

I was talking to a West Ham fan the other night who was saying that while he's pleased they signed KP they didn't really need him and have other priorities. That certainly sounds like us too!

We can't even find the cash for Munoz - who is literally chomping at the bit to come here (I'm presuming it's the wages). We're not going for Wharton unless there's a takeover none of us have heard of. When Eze goes in the summer then maybe.

or 4. He is told by RH in no uncertain terms on signing that if he even thinks about replicating his unusual goalscoring prowess at a full back he'll immediately be sent packing to train and play with the youth team.

It seems Palace are genuinely interested in him which raises the Roy issue again. Why pay good money for a 19 year old everyone knows won’t get a game under Hodgson?
