I would rather us go to Chelsea, give them a game and if we lose so be it, at least we tried. If Roy's still in charge,we'll be set up not to concede, invariably will and predictably surrender with a whimper. Bring Cooper in for 15 games and see where we are at season end, Allardyce even.

Parrish and the board are the ones who have the most to lose They must know the consequences of relegation , the loss of revenue, the value of the club decreases, they could potentially lose their investments. As said previously we can walk away, go home and rant, forget about it for a while, but will forgive and return.

We are home to Chelsea.
A 4 hour round-trip for me at a night game to witness abject dross - I think NOT.
My rump shall not make contact with my seat.

Far better for me to remain in the comfort of my warm abode and take pity on all our long-suffering supporters, suffering yet again at Selhurst Park.

He'll be named Aberdeen's interim manager by tomorrow . . . [Link]

It's all very well saying that Parish should sack Hodgson. And although I think he's reluctant to do so I think the bigger issue could be that there simply isn't anyone out there that Parish wants to appoint at this time.

The time to have done it would have been after the Arsenal game. The media whipped the Sheffield game up as a ' must win ', but with Olise and Eze we always had a reasonable chance of getting the result.

Then you look at the next two fixtures, Brighton and Chelsea, and my expectation was no points from those games. We look bang on course for that expectation to be met.

I have my doubts about what impact a new manager have on the squad, but the fact is that Roy does not appear to have a solution. It's been one season too many. Not all his fault by any means but certainly he has to take his share of the responsibility.

I do not hate Roy. He did his job well the first time and absolutely did a job last season. He should have walked off into the sunset head held high with his legacy sealed. We all remember the dour end to his first stint so last year was a nice way to leave us all with rose tinted specs.

This year it is England Roy. Dour Roy who takes no blame for anything and says we don’t have the quality outside Olise and Eze. That is bollocks. We have one of the most talented squads we’ve ever seen. I’m not having it that they are not good enough. There are teams outside the big boys that would love some of our players. Yes we have a few past there sell buy date but in the whole there should be more than enough to finish at least 4th from bottom no matter about point deductions etc.

Roy has absolutely lost them. Would you want to put a shift in if you were ahamada and saw Richard’s getting a spot in midfield? If Eze isn’t fit throw the boy Franca in. He isn’t going to be less creative than what JS, Lermer and hughes have produced.
Apart from one game where he was clearly over excited to be on and playing he has looked a bit of a threat which we surely need. Like I say he can’t be worse than what has been going on. I could understand if we were keeping things tight with the experienced players but we are getting spanked. It needs to change and Roy won’t or is incapable of doing it so he has to go.

SP needs to pay whatever it takes NOW to get somebody in. Great if it’s long term plan but even a short term boost would be better than recycling the same s***e every week.

Now the bigger issue is why is it so hard to get a new manager in. What is SP asking of a new manager that means we had to go for 4th or 5th choice Vierra and then Roy again. That is a major concern but one for next season depending on where we are.

Money simply talks. Enough of it and you could get anybody because it’s business and every single manager is for sale at the right price.. it’s simply a case of how badly do we want to stay up or move forwards.

Willo,

I take it that you anticipate yet another abject display and inevitable heavy defeat.

I respect your opinion Willo but I'm pretty sure this isn't the worst you've seen or a lot of the fan base have seen of Palace.

If ever there was a time that the club needed supporters to go, especially to home games, it would be now.

Seeing as it's probably the only thing supporters can really do to affect a game.

It may be slowly killing any enthusiasm of the game you or I have but I do think it really helps to have supporters behind the team in the tough times and make Selhurst a 'fortress'.

Fans can quite easily wallow in all the mistakes but surely it'd be wise to recognise that being at odds with the squad and whatever manager after the supporters have voiced their opinion, would be somewhat counter productive.

Doucoure is out for the season, that is a given but we need to plan for Olise and Eze not being available either. So we need to make the best of who we definitely have available.

Trouble is, Roy is not making best use of what is available, so I really fear for the rest of the season whilst he is still here.

The irony might be that Roy returned to supposedly save us with 10 or so games to go last season, another manager might be appointed to fill his boots to do the exactly the same.

It seems clear that we need to accept that Eze and Olise will be out and try and use the squad we have available.

Surely, Franca has to start. Perhaps Ayew can play more centrally. We need to use Mateta and Edouard up front together one way or another, but I might go five at the back against the better sides. Johnson back in goal.

We have to grind out points.

I just saw your message on the Roy stay or go thread. Regarding pant wetting.

Could I ask and not looking for a slanging match etc. Exactly how far do you continue to follow under Roy. At what point and how deep in trouble does it need to be before it is no longer pissing our knickers as you put it and you see it as the majority now do?

I genuinely want to know because I would dearly love to be proved wrong and we be safe for another season.

Further to my earlier point about Parish's dilemma in terms of sacking Roy and hiring a replacement ;

Other of our relegation threatened rivals will be jubilant that we appear to be too weak to sack Hodgson and just relish the prospect of an easy three points when they play us,particularly if we are without our dynamic duo,Olise and Eze!!

It is more than likely that both Eze and Olise will be missing, accordingly I am expecting yet another abject display and defeat.
A truly awful watch, once again, for long-suffering supporters at Selhurst Park.
