Udinese keeper Anthony Basso has been handed a trial by Iain Dowie.
The 25-year-old Frenchman will have a week to impress Dowie and goalkeeping coach Mick Kelly at the club's Beckenham training ground.
Basso, formerly with French side Auxerre, spent last season on loan at Serie C1 outfit Chieti. He could replace countryman CEDRIC BERTHELIN, whose future at the club is unclear.
"We'll have a look at him and see how good he is," said Eagles boss Dowie.
"We had a good recommendation from Roy Hodgson, and although he found our fitness level hard, Mike Kelly thought he has good hands."
Former Argentinian youth international midfielder Alejandro Alonso, 22, is also on trial with the Eagles.
