Steve Kember was philosophical in the 2-1 defeat at Sunderland which saw the Black Cats win thanks to an injury-time penalty.
Andy Johnson had cancelled out Kevin Kyle's 46nd minute opener with just 30 seconds to go.
Palace thought they were heading back south with a well-earned point until HAYDEN MULLINS was adjudged ot have handled in the box deep into injury time and Sunderland's Marcus Stewart buried the spot kick.
Kember was annoyed his side weren't given a penalty themselves when Gary Breen handled in the box.
He said: "The referee said he saw Breen handle the ball but claimed it was an accident. That's the way things go sometimes and we must now look to Bradford on Tuesday night.
"Sunderland created more chances in the first half and could have had a second goal but we invited them to smash balls into the penalty box so to a certain extent we have created our own problems."
