Neil McDonald

Assistant manager Neil McDonald has left the club with immediate effect.

McDonald was brought to the club from Bolton by former Eagles boss IAIN DOWIE last summer.

But chairman Simon Jordan wants to employ a whole new management team following DOWIE's exit to Charlton.

Bob DOWIE is staying with the club in his role as director of football and is assisting Jordan in providing a list of suitable candidates for the vacant manager's job.
