Palace have travelled to the USA to play two games as part of their pre-season friendlies.

Palace's first game on Saturday 15th July 2006 is against their newly formed Premier Development League (PDL) side, Crystal Palace USA. The game kicks off at midnight UK time on Sunday (7:00pm kick off local time).

The PDL League is part of the United Soccer Leagues (USL), which is the second tier league structure in the United States.

The PDL is very popular with US college players - all team members must be under 23-years-old and three players must be 18 years or younger.

Palace have bought the franchise rights to a 50 mile+ radius in the Baltimore, Maryland area, which means no other USL team can set up in that area.

Palace then travel to Richmond, Virginia for a game against MLS (US's top-tier league) champions Los Angeles Galaxy on Wednesday 19th July 2006. (kickoff midnight UK time).

The squad which travelled out to the States was:
