Crystal Palace striker KWESI APPIAH faces months out after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.
APPIAH, 24, got injured while training with the Ghana national side ahead of their AFCON 2017 qualifier against Mauritius.
"KWESI suffered a cruciate ligament injury in one of our training sessions and the team doctors have ruled him out of the Mauritius game," spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara said.
"He could be out for weeks if not probably months. So KWESI would have to go back to the UK for further treatment."
The former Margate player starred for his country in January's Africa Cup of Nations and signed a new two-year contract with Palace in March.
He impressed on loan at Reading at the end of last season following a six-month stint with Cambridge United.
