Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock hailed his team's spirit after they drew 1-1 at Cardiff City.

Bluebirds defender MARK HUDSON put his old side ahead with an own goal in the 13th minute before Peter Whittingham levelled six minutes later.

Tempers flared after the full-time whistle with Michael Chopra and Shaun Derry involved in a rumble that carried on into the tunnel.

Warnock said: "They didn't deserve to beat us and if any were punches were thrown they would probably have missed.

"I was very pleased with the performance and disappointed we didn't win as we had a few chances.

"It is very difficult playing here as Cardiff are a very good side but we didn't lay down and they had to earn everything against us."

Bluebirds boss Dave Jones added: "I'd think we might have gone on to win it. Palace are a big side but we showed determination to come back after that early goal.

"I felt we had enough opportunities to have got more out of the game but we're not a physical side and the referee never made the important decisions when he was supposed to.

"I don't know whether he will include the spat at the end of the game (in his report) because I have no wish to talk to him.

"Neil Warnock's sides are always hard to play against and I have no problem with that. He is a master of mind games but the match is over and done with and I still have a lot of time for him."
