Don't laugh, but I'm a bit sensitive, and some of the things that people say on these threads upset me. So much so that I can't get the thoughts out of my head. For example, in a game where palace were denied two clear penalties, a lot of posters told me: "Well we were playing like sh*t and we didn't deserve anything" I hadn't realised that football was run along altruistic lines. Does that mean that, if Palace get awarded a spot kick against Man City against the run of play, then Benteke should deliberately miss the penalty? Maybe he could tamely sidefoot the ball at their keeper.
They haven't replied yet. Either they are really putting a lot of thought into their response, or the letter has gone missing.
Are Palace not allowed to win games, or even get penalties, unless certain economic conditions are met? (whereas Moan United and Chelsea can do whatever they like to win) Is that how it works? Please help Edited by OhthisbloodyPC (19 Jan 2017 9.00am)

In short. People on this board often explain the fact that Palace get denied multiple penalties during games because "the way we were playing we didn't deserve a penalty." I'm saying.... it doesn't work like that. If fairness comes into football, maybe we should all write to Gary Lineker and say "you don't deserve all that money, would you like to give it back?"

Don't take what anyone writes on here seriously could be the answer. 'We didn't deserve anything' is a footballing cliché and means very little if anything.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Personally think that when your winning games and riding high you get the decisions. When things are not going well the decisions go against you. Maybe its because things are not that good that the decisions by the referee intesify opinion. Doesnt help that we have a couple of players that like to trip of fresh air in the box.

Please help Edited by OhthisbloodyPC (19 Jan 2017 9.00am) I do understand where you're coming from. A recent example was Klopp after the Man Ure game. Klopp blasted "Their long ball actics cost us the win we deserved". Now I'm no Utd fan, but is Klopp saying just because Utd went to a route one type game plan that worked for them that they didn't deserve anything out of the game? I really am beginning to loathe the big clubs sense of entitlement. Do they genuinely expect clubs to lay down and die just ecause they're playing Liverpool/Man Ure/ Arse/ Chelski/ Citeh? FFS they should listen to themselves. What do they take people for?

You squeezed that issue to a logical conclusion with a satisfying pop. I too am slightly embarrassed by players that go down too easily.

at the risk of being told off I used an internet search and had my belief that a lot of foreign born managers are mastering a range of idiomatic expressions in English language confirmed. I am sure that they find it particularly hard when they have to "set change" from "we deserved to win and did" to "we woz robbed". Mr Klopp seems to be managing his learning. I await his comments when we next take points from Liverpool.
