A few weeks ago I was drawing up a list of people whose contracts shouldn’t be renewed. Tomkins was top of it (still is), Jairo was next, Is there, in fact, still a future for him at the club?

Technically he is very good.. a good passer.. Ollie is getting the best out of all of them and Riedewald can play in a number of positions.. remember him a couple of years ago at left back… played really well.. I’d keep him…

All the players have improved at least a notch under Glasner and he does seem to want to use everyone which is good for the squad moral and good for the likes of Riedewald with minutes on the pitch even if it is just fresh legs to see out the game . He looks better in the Glasner system as do many others and could become a reliable squad player rather than someone not fit to sit on the bench wasting his carer away

I've always liked Jairo and agree with others that he is technically good. He's getting a bit of game time recently but will this be the case when Lerma and Doucoure are fit? Probably not. He's a useful squad player as he can fit into several positions, but will he be happy playing that role with the occasional appearance? If so, we should try to keep him, but you can't blame him if he wants to play elsewhere and get more minutes.

He would get endless minutes in the Eredivisie, but it is not the EPL. And it is not just the money. Hundreds of millions worldwide watched his cameo last night. He would not get that exposure playing for Feyenoord. And maybe he is settled and happy here and doesn't want to leave?

Championship level at best. He won’t be kept. I’ve seen Irish Ferries turn quicker.

I believe he was originally signed to play in a back three. But now we're playing a back three and he isn't in it. That suggests he won't be retained. It depends who we signed if we keep him for cover. However, is he any better than Ozoh? Not sure. If he's on high wages get rid or negotiate a lower contract.

i would request any statto's on here to compare our performances with and without Riedewald. Was he on the pitch for some of our defensive howlers ? He is defo not an attacking player. But i would argue that our defence has often been pretty good.
with or without Riedewald, let Olly decide. Every player in the squad needs to either be under scrutiny or performing miracles.

To be controversial, I was previously of the inclination to 'drive him anywhere myself'. That was without any attack on his character though, seems like a good guy. However, I am now thinking, 'I'm sure OG will find a use for him'. I'm therefore near enough ambivalent on his staying or going. I understand the lack of desire from others to see him stay but I also have great faith in the manager and his ability to use the resource at his disposal.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

at age 27, i would expect Riedewald to be near his best form of his career.

I'm ashamed to say that in all the fun last night and since I'd forgotten we have Lerma and Doucoure to come back in.

I think I’m in the “I’m not going to miss him” camp if he leaves, so accept OG’s decision on this one either way!
