There seem to be quite a lot of players in the PL who after securing generous contracts are happy to see out their contracts without putting in any effort whatsoever. The prime example is Ozil * of course. Happy in the knowledge that, with even minimal investing skill, they are set for life. Doesn't seem a good thing for motivation. Before anyone asks, I don't really have a solution other than clubs getting together and start offering contracts based on PRP like many of the rest of us. *He's on £10,000 an HOUR (assuming a 35hr week, which they don't do anyway). I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |
