Hello Chaps, You may have seen some of my previous threads asking ridiculously stupid questions about general car features etc. Here we are with another episode of "I don't know what the fk I'm doing - help!" I've just tried to assemble the CEO's new office chair at work. In essence, its a set of wheels, connected by a pole to the bottom of a chair - "easy" they think. However, I didn't put the cup like looking things around the pole before I connected it to the seat and wheels. As the chair goes up and down, it's got a load of oil on the pole to allow for said sliding. This obviously isn't protected now. Couple of questions, if anybody may know: 1) Does it make the slightest bit of difference if said plastic cup things are not attached? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thankyou - D.I.Y King
