1973 guess
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

That game when Rogers ran half of Selhurst and slotted the ball into the homesdale goal against Man U, he was wearing the red and blue diagonal stripe. As I recall Alan Whittle also scored and Gerry Queen. We ran out 5-1 winners. Edited by dreamwaverider (22 Feb 2024 3.57pm)

Edited by dreamwaverider (22 Feb 2024 3.57pm) no,no,no ... he was wearing a claret and blue verticall stripe - that was the last year of claret and blue unbtil the centenary season, ypou'd think it was 73/74 nig mal etc... but we had gorgeous red and blue stripes in the 1937/38 season ... and if you don't believe me here's the link ...

it's disputed, there's a BBS discussion, and the photo is doctored of course cos it wud have been b&w, but there are printed references to a kit change and the program backs it up
