Chas Hodges was in the Tornados in the early '60's having a long running No1 hit Telstar in 1962.Fairly sure it was the first UK record to top the charts here and the US at the same time.Simon Jordan backed the film about Joe Meek the composer/producer of this record.

Talking of the Tornadoes, Clem Clattini, drummer of said band, holds the record for appearing on more UK top 10 hits than anyone else.
